Welcome to the website of Max Bane, a graduate student studying toward a PhD in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago. He received a BS from the Department of Computer Science in 2006.
Max is interested in mathematical and computational models of all aspects of (human) communicative behavior, particularly language learning and the evolution of linguistic populations over time. Details of specific research projects can be found on the Projects page.
